Woman who has never smoked dying of lung cancer

23rd June 2010

A 52-year-old non-smoking mother is facing death from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Lynda Mitchell has blamed her condition on her parents, who both smoked 60 cigarettes on a daily basis. She was diagnosed with the condition in 2003, although doctors said she had probably had COPD since the 1980s. Lynda, of Withywood, Bristol, said: "I will die from second hand smoke and I have never smoked in my life."
