Women not using suncream

30th April 2012

Too few women in the UK are using sun cream, according to the charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

Following a survey of 1,500 women, almost a quarter of women (22%) going on holiday later this year said they did not intend to use suncream. Macmillan said it was becoming very concerned at the attitude more people were showing towards the risk of getting sunburn. The concerns were echoed by the British Association of Dermatologists, which feared too many people were getting burnt.
