World Mental Health Day 2014

10th October 2014

World Mental Health Day is to shine a light on schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia affects 26 million people around the world which impacts their families and carers too. However, with the right assistance, half of people can make a full recovery.

Unfortunately, many people have the impression that people with schizophrenia are dangerous, although this attitude is changing and moving in the right direction.

Increasingly people realise that being diagnosed with schizophrenia, while of concern, can still mean that many can go on to have full and productive lives.
