Youth mental health warning

5th January 2009

The Prince's Trust charity has said young people who are not in work require more assistance to handle mental health difficulties.

According to a survey by YouGov, one in ten of the 2,004 people who replied to an online questionnaire said they did not agree that "life was really worth living". Paul Brow, of the Prince's Trust, said the survey showed many young people "desperately" needed help. He added: "Often young people who feel they have reached rock bottom don't know where to turn for help."
