The Mount Vernon Cancer Centre is situated in pleasant surroundings in North West London, approximately 15 miles from Central London.
The Centre treats over 4,500 new patients per annum with radiotherapy and more than 1,500 patients with chemotherapy.
The Centre serves a population of 1.8 million people living in Middlesex, Hertfordshire, south Bedfordshire, east Berkshire, south Buckinghamshire, and the outskirts of north London, visiting fifteen District General Hospitals.
Cancer patients are seen initially in their local hospital by a visiting oncologist and come to Mount Vernon Hospital for specialised treatment. Following treatment they return to their local hospital for follow-up and continued care.
Mount Vernon Cancer Treatment Centre has been part of the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust since 1st April 2005. www.enherts-tr.nhs.uk
