London Strategic Health Authority
1 Berkeley Street
NHS London is the Strategic Health Authority for London. It is one of the ten strategic health authorities established on the 1st July 2006 to lead the local NHS areas identified as a result of "Commissioning a Patient-led NHS".
NHS London is responsible for ensuring that the capital's health services deliver world-class care by:
- developing and implementing our strategy for health and healthcare in London;
- holding local organisations (see below) to account for the quality of the care which they provide;
- ensuring capacity through the development of the workforce, technology and buildings.
